Beautiful Cooking

It's been quite a long time since I've cooked regular proper meals. It was always pointless trying to cook for one and wonder what to do with the leftovers. Or worse, actually cooking for one, and trying to get a variety of dishes.

Since moving to Singapore and living with my sister, at least cooking for two doesn't seem too much of a drag. I am no culinary masterchef, but I can actually cook from raw ingredients if I really want to. None of this sauce from the jar cheat malarky.

Made myself a spaghetti bolognese from scratch tonight. Never done it before and I'm quite proud of the result. The only 'fake' ingredient was the tomato paste. And I ain't talking about no pasta sauce either. Everything else was done from scratch.

I've taken a few pics of my culinary 'expertise'. Maybe I should have a proper dinner party sometime soon.

Candle lit dinner (with my sister, sigh!) during Singapore's Earth Hour a few weeks ago. Fried rice and coconut juice.

Fresh green salad with my own viniagrette (how do you spell it??), breaded chicken, nice healthy chinese vegetable clear soup and breaded scallops (I didn't make them!)

The good old English fry up!!
